Funding and Implementation of Biju Setu Yojana

The Biju Setu Yojana (Rural Bridges) is an ambitious initiative by the Government of Odisha to construct bridges in rural areas. It aims to bridge the gaps in road connectivity managed by the Rural Development Department, as well as other roads like those funded by NABARD, and bridges permissible under the PMGSY scheme. Currently, bridges are also being built using funds allocated to the R.D. Department under WODC, IAP, and BRGF schemes. However, these existing schemes are not sufficient to meet the state's requirements.
