Nila Madhab is from Kanpur village in the Oupada block, Santargadia of Balesawar district(Odisha State). He is the only son of Smt. Nirupama and Mr.Sasikanta Behera. His mother is a homemaker and his father is a private school teacher.

When studying higher secondary, Nilamadhaba first time came in limelight when he had created human robot-Atom 37 at the age of 18 years. Later he made 'smart chair' and Andro humanoid. Recently he has built India's first spider robot.

Indian soldiers always keep in eyes on enemies. This heptapod robot can help in keeping an eye on enemies both on land. This robot can do a soldier's task. Spider Robot can comfortably climb mountain and forests. It is designed for military applications, from transport to search & rescue and attack. It can walk through minefields, deactivate unexploded bombs Already several military robots have been developed by various armies.
